Over the last few years fans have seen some big stables emerge on WWE programming and for a time The Hurt Business was one of the most talked about groups in wrestling. However, WWE decided to end The Hurt Business, and Bobby Lashley and MVP recently became free agents. Shelton Benjamin was released from the company last year which means there’s potential for at least three members of The Hurt Business to reunite.
During a recent virtual signing for K&S Wrestlefest, MVP addressed the status of The Hurt Business and teased that himself, Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin could be reuniting in the future.
“The Hurt Business is dead, and it was killed off by the powers that be at WWE, but I can say that myself, Bobby Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin are … talking amongst ourselves about what we want to do going forward so I say ‘Stay tuned.'”
If MVP, Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin do indeed reunite then they obviously would be able to use The Hurt Business name outside of WWE. A recent trademark filing may have revealed the name that the group intends to use and you can get more on that here.
