Over the last few years fans have seen a number of familiar names part ways with WWE. Samantha Irvin started working for the company as a ring announcer in 2021, and her voice quickly became synonymous with WWE. However, in October of 2024, Irvin shocked the world when she announced her departure from WWE.
Following her departure from the company Samantha Irvin openly stated on social media that she didn’t want to be a ring announcer. She also indicated that she was hoping to take on a bigger role when she responded to a fan on Instagram with a comment that said, “Announcing was only supposed to be my way in. I wanted to manage, maybe even become general manager one day. But WWE saw no other future for me besides announcer. I love watching the action but I don’t love being an announcer.”
Now it seems that Samantha Irvin is considering her future in the world of professional wrestling as she recently told USA Today that her career has barely begun.
“That’s a guarantee. My wrestling career has barely even begun. I think it would be an absolute waste of everything that I’ve done so far to not continue the story. I gotta finish my story.”
Irvin continued to tease that she could take on a different role in the future when she added, “Now, I want to just see creatively what else I can do. Hopefully, when I come back (to wrestling), I’ll bring even more value than I did before.”
It’s not clear at this point in time if Samantha Irvin has any solid plans, or where she could end up in the future, but it’s worth noting that her fiancé Ricochet currently works for AEW.
