The last few years have been pretty chaotic in regards to the mass WWE releases, but it’s safe to say that the next few months will be interesting as many former WWE stars have non-compete clauses that are set to expire.
Former WWE star Gran Metalik was released a few months ago, but he recently teased that he will be back in action sooner rather than later. Gran Metalik posted a video of him putting on a mask, and he also indicated that he will be using his Mascara Dorada persona moving forward. After putting the mask on Gran Metalik spoke a few words in Spanish saying, “my return is coming soon.”

It was reported that Gran Metalik requested to be released from WWE in fall of 2021, and the company finally let him go on November 4th. His non-compete clause is set to expire next week. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
