There’s no denying that The Rock is one of the biggest stars in all of wrestling as The People’s Champion has certainly made a name for himself throughout his career.

While The Rock was still climbing up through the ranks of WWE he clashed with Ken Shamrock who WWE often advertised as “The World’s Most Dangerous Man.” Recently Ken Shamrock talked about his relationship with Dwayne Johnson on Vlad TV, and Shamrock claimed that he originally had “The Rock” nickname written into his WWE contract.

“I was Ken ‘The Rock’ Shamrock when I came out to fight. He had no clue, absolutely no clue that I was named ‘The Rock.’ In fact, when I came to him and I kind of joked about it, that I had that carved out in my contract. I kind of laughed about it. He was like, ‘Oh, what? Really?’ I was like, ‘Brother, don’t worry about it, man. It’s not a big deal. I don’t care.’ He made it more famous than me, right?”

Ken Shamrock first debuted with WWE back in 1997, but his run with the company came to an end in 1999. He has since wrestled for other companies such as Total Nonstop Action and New Japan Pro Wrestling.
