William Regal joined All Elite Wrestling earlier this year, but it seems that his run with the company is already over. It was recently reported that Regal is no longer with AEW and he’s expected to return to WWE after the new year.
Former WWE star EC3 spoke to Sportskeeda Wrestling about William Regal’s tenure in AEW and he noted that people in the company aren’t listening to the veterans.
“He’s too valuable to not be in a developmental system. And I know we can say ‘oh he’s there mentoring the people in AEW’, the thing is they are not listening. The talent doesn’t listen to veterans for the most part. The ones that do are knocking him in the back of the head with brass knuckles and are the World Champion.”
EC3 also explained why Regal had regrets about signing with AEW when he added, “The word was he said ‘I immediately regret this decision, there’s very much a maturity issue here within management’. Verbatim.”
