Over the years WWE has introduced a number of new title belts. In recent months the company has unveiled the WWE Women’s United States Championship, WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship and the WWE ID Championship.
Back in 2016, WWE resurrected the cruiserweight division with the Cruiserweight Classic tournament, and the WWE Cruiserweight Championship was resurrected as well. In the years that followed WWE attempted to keep the cruiserweight division going by featuring the cruiserweights on Raw and eventually 205 Live. It was heavily rumored that the company was discussing the idea of adding tag titles to the cruiserweight division, but ultimately they never debuted.
Recently Ariya Daivari confirmed that the WWE Cruiserweight Tag Team Championship belts were indeed real. The former WWE star noted that he once held one of the belts, and he doesn’t know why WWE decided not to use them.

WWE officially retired the Cruiserweight Championship back in 2022, so at this point it seems unlikely that the company will be looking to introduce Cruiserweight Tag Team Tittles in the future.
