The wrestling world was shocked when Kane made his debut and the Big Red Machine was revealed to be the brother of The Undertaker. Kane and The Undertaker had some classic moments on WWE TV and it sounds like at one point the company considered adding another brother to the kayfabe family.

Former WWE star Matt Morgan recently spoke to Chris Van Vliet about his early days in OVW. During the interview Morgan noted that at one point an idea was pitched for him to wear a mask and play Kane’s brother Abel.

“So you were the first person I told that to, I’ve never shared that story before. So no, Johnny Ace and Stephanie [McMahon] wanted me to wear a mask to work on my body language, right?”

“And so I remember Jim Cornette just being like, what? What are you doing? He’s like our top babyface champion. Why have you got to wear this? This is stupid, like, totally put me over. And I’ll always be grateful to Jimmy for that. I love Jimmy. And anyway, so they put me in this stupid mask, and Jimmy found a way to make it work because he’s freaking brilliant.”

Obviously that plan did not work out as Matt Morgan was called up to the main roster under the name Matt Morgan and he continued to work with WWE until he was released in 2005. Following his release from WWE Matt Morgan went on to wrestle on the independent circuit and he also worked with TNA for several years.
