Earlier this year former WWE Divas Champion Alicia Fox confirmed that she was still under contract with the company, but a few months ago she announced that she was officially done with WWE and is now a free agent.
Alicia Fox has been opening up about her WWE run recently and she shared some interesting information during a Twitch stream on Friday night. During the stream Fox claimed that at one point an idea was pitched for her and Nikki Cross to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.
“They told me, ‘You and Nikki Cross are gonna win the tag team titles. I’m like, ‘I can’t do that right now.’ So this person drove me back to the hotel and dropped me off.”
Obviously Alicia Fox and Nikki Cross never won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles as Fox was pulled from the road in 2019 following an incident at a house show. She went on to make sporadic appearances for the company in the years that followed before announcing her departure from WWE back in May.
Throughout her run with WWE Alicia Fox managed to win the Divas Championship one time and the 24/7 Championship one time. It sounds like she almost added a tag team championship run to her resume, but it wasn’t meant to be.
