Former WWE Star Reveals His Reaction To Vince McMahon Telling Him He Wasn’t Getting A Push

Everyone wants to be the best that they can be in the WWE, but in order to get in the right spot you need to have Vince McMahon on your side. Back in 2012 the New Age Outlaws returned to WWE programming and they worked to help establish new teams on the WWE roster.

Road Dogg recently talked about that run for the Outlaws during an appearance on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s UnSKripted and he admitted that his ego was hurt when Vince told him he had no intentions of pushing the past.

“I remember one time sitting in there at a meeting, and we were talking about the New Age Outlaws, and Vince looked right at me and said, “Brian, I’m not pushing the past’, and I thought, ‘Ouch!’ That hurt my ego, my sensitive ego (laughs).”

Road Dogg went on to say that despite his initial reaction to Vince McMahon’s comments he came to the realization that McMahon was right, and he knows what he’s doing.

“But he’s so right. Like, you’re not going to push the (old guys), you may do a nostalgic kickback can of coke, but you’re not going to change it all, you know what I mean? He knows what he’s doing; people just don’t like to think so.”
