CM Punk is always a hot topic in the world of professional wrestling as people often wonder if he will ever end up returning to the ring. The former WWE Champion walked out on the company back in 2014, and his departure has been talked about a lot over the years.
Punk’s exit from WWE got a big reaction from the wrestling world, and former WWE star Heath Slater recently told Title Match Wrestling that the reaction backstage was one of shock.
“I’m sure [some people were happy], you know. I think it was one of those things where everyone was kind of like in shock because guys that don’t have the spotlight and all that stuff, they’re all looking at it like, ‘Dude, what are you doing? You’re wrestling on top. You’ve been doing it forever. Stay there, get your money, do your thing.’”
