Former WWE Star Returning To The Ring For The First Time In Years

There are a number of free agents in the wrestling world right now and not all of them are active. It’s been over 6 years since former WWE star Alex Riley has competed, but it looks like he’s getting ready to return to the ring.

It was recently announced that Riley will be in action at the Create A Pro NY event in Lynbrook, NY on December 8. Riley will be teaming up with NWA World Heavyweight Champion Tyrus and Jack Tomlinson and Dante Drago known as VBU.

“Former Create A Pro Tag Team Champions VBU faces a tough task as they take on the team of Alex Riley and NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion @PlanetTyrus! Bring 2 unwrapped wrestling toys to donate for admission into the event!”

Alex Riley first signed a developmental deal with WWE in 2007 and he went on to form an alliance with The Miz during the second season of NXT in 2010. He went on to compete on the main roster and in NXT before he was released in 2016. His last match took place during a NXT taping in May of 2016 where he was defeated by Shinsuke Nakamura.
