A lot of wrestlers have come and gone from WWE through the years and some of them have taken breaks from in-ring competition. Paul Burchill was released from WWE in 2010, but in the years that followed he continued to wrestle on the independent circuit. Burchill wrestled for various companies before stepping away from in-ring competition in 2018.
However, it seems that Paul Burchill will be lacing up the boots once again as it’s been confirmed that he will be returning to the ring at World Classic Professional Big Time Wrestling’s The Great Fall Bash 2. The show is set to take place in Ohio on September 30 and Burchill will be facing off against Gangrel at the event. Recently Burchill cut a promo on Gangrel on YouTube hyping up their upcoming match.
“Gangrel, they reached out to me and asked me to send some kind of a message promoting our match on the 30th of September in Chillicothe, Ohio. Raise the colors, raise the flag, but I’ve heard what you’ve been saying. You’ve been making all kinds of threats. You’re talking about, ‘There’s gonna be blood.’ Son, you’ve got a real short memory. It’s been a while since you and me got in the ring together. That was a long time ago, back in England. Actually, while I’ve got England in my mind, I’ll do a little word association just to illustrate the depth between you and me. Gangrel, when it comes to England, you’re Elton John. Me? I’m Jack the Ripper. 30th of September, Shoemaker Center, Chillicothe, Ohio, The Vampire Warrior vs. The Ripper. The only blood is going to be your blood on my hands, and there’s two things you can do about it: nothing and like it.”
It’s not known at this time if Paul Burchill has plans to continue to wrestle following his match with Gangrel, or if this is just going to be a one off. Stay tuned for updates.
