No one can wrestle forever, and former WWE Women’s Champion Mickie James recently got the wrestling world talking when she posted the following tweet saying that she feels she’s done with wrestling:
No. I feel I’m done in wrestling. But you can #watchalong with me & @RealNickAldis tonight on @millionsdotco !!! https://t.co/AVOPZCLa5D

The tweet got quite the reaction from fans as they made it clear that they don’t want her to retire. However, Mickie James went on to question what is left for her to prove in the wrestling business.
I appreciate you. Honestly I’ve been so blessed & love my fans so much! I wouldn’t have had all this without you. What is left for me to prove anymore? What else can I do? Id rather bow out screaming “Womens Wrestling Matters” from the top of the mountain than the valley. ♥️ https://t.co/D2rpLgPjVF

James also recently addressed her status while speaking to to MyTV26 at StocktonCon 2022, and she noted that she doesn’t really know what’s next.
“I don’t know. I’m a mom, my son is eight this year. I think I’ll always do stuff with wrestling, in some capacity. I enjoy doing things like this [conventions], it’s a way to reconnect with fans. I don’t really know what’s next, that’s the beauty of it.”
Mickie James last wrestled on the July 14 episode of Impact Wrestling where she lost to Chelsea Green. Following the loss Mickie James said that she was going home. Now Impact Wrestling has announced that Mickie will appear at Lone Star Stampede later this month, and she’s set to make an announcement during night one of the event.
