The world of professional wrestling is full of surprises and you never know when one of your favorite wrestlers might hang up the boots for good then call it a career.
PWInsider is reporting that former WWE star Doug Basham retired over the weekend. Basham wrestled at the 2023 Great Lakes Championship Wrestling Blizzad Brawl event in Waukesha, Wisconsin where he lost his final match to Kal Herro.
It’s also being reported that Doug Basham specifically wanted to put Kal Herro over so he could give him the accolade of being the one to retire him.
Doug Basham made his TV debut with WWE in 2003 as one half of The Bashams tag team. Alongside Danny Basham he managed to win the WWE Tag Team Championship twice during his run with the company. Following his release in 2007, Doug Basham went on to appear for Impact Wrestling as part of a team with Danny Basham.
