There’s been a lot of movement in the wrestling world recently and many fans have been wondering what the future holds for Andrade El Idolo. Fightful Select reports that Andrade has finished up with AEW and has an agreement to return to WWE. His original deal with AEW was for two years, but time was added because Andrade was sidelined due to injury. According to AEW talent Andrade was open about letting people know his deal was up at the end of the year.
Numerous AEW talent noted that Andrade El Idolo mentioned the idea of staying with the company and was considering another run. However, as he got closer to the end of his time with AEW he told other wrestlers he was heading back to WWE.
Tony Khan left the door open for a return, but it was said to be a frustrating process according to people who worked around Andrade, and he let them know days before the Worlds End pay-per-view in December that he would be finishing up.
It was also noted that Charlotte pushed for Andrade to return to WWE, and Andrade was actually the one who pushed for Ric Flair to be brought in to All Elite Wrestling.
WWE sources have not confirmed that Andrade will be returning, but it’s being said that others have indicated a return for Andrade is likely.
