Breaking into WWE can be tough for some wrestlers and the company decided to give some up and comers an opportunity to earn a contract when the show Tough Enough was created. Maven ended up winning the first season of Tough Enough and he was a member of the WWE roster from 2001 to 2005.
Maven recently discussed his WWE career during an appearance on the Monte & The Pharaoh show, and he openly admitted to taking steroids while saying that he wishes he took more.
“I loved everything about it. the good, the bad, the ups, the downs. I’m not going to lie, the money. I’m the one wrestler, I’m going to be perfectly honest, whether you like or dislike my answer. I hate it when guys talk about, ‘Did you take steroids?’ and they beat around it. I did them. I did. I’m not sorry for it. I wish I would have taken more. I would have done everything the same. At this point in my life, at 46, there is no one I’m trying to get the approval of. Why lie?”
Maven was released from WWE in 2005 and he has since gone on to work on the independent circuit. Stay tuned for more updates on his status as they become available.
