The new year is almost here which means we’re only a few weeks away from the Royal Rumble. There’s sure to be a lot of speculation regarding who WWE could bring back for the Royal Rumble matches as surprise entrants are always a highlight.
Recently during an interview with Ten Count former WWE star Erick Rowan was asked about a possible Royal Rumble return and he joked that if it’s happening he would be the last to know.
“As far as appearing [at the Royal Rumble], I would be the last to know,” Rowan told Fall. “I feel like fans figure out [about returns] through [dirt sheets] … and I sometimes feel like you’ll hear rumors and then all of a sudden they come true. That’s why I always say, I always laugh, ‘I’ll probably hear a rumor,’ I don’t know.”
Erick Rowan was released from WWE in 2020 after 9 years with the company. Since then he’s gone on to work on the independent wrestling scene and he’s also made appearances on AEW programming. Do you think WWE should bring him back for the Royal Rumble? Sound off in the comments below.
