Over the years fans have seen a number of broadcasters on WWE programming, such as Jonathan Coachman who started his initial run with the company in the year 2000. Coachman finished up with WWE in 2008, but went on to make part-time appearances on WWE programming from 2016 to 2018 until he finally signed a new deal with the company in 2018.

During an appearance on Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word, Jonathan Coachman explained that when he returned to WWE he told Vince McMahon that there were four golf events on his schedule he didn’t want to miss. Coachman pointed out how he never missed one show in ten years, but had already informed the company that he would be missing four events in one calendar year when he returned.

According to Coachman, Vince McMahon was fine with the arrangement the first time Coach missed an event. However, Vince was unhappy by the time Coachman missed a second event. Jonathan Coachman went on to claim that nobody liked the fact that the company brought him back, and Nia Jax pushed for him to be fired.

“She hates me, by the way, Nia Jax hates me… Nobody liked the fact that they brought me back. For whatever reason—I’m not going to use the jealous word—it is what it is. Nia Jax led the charge. Renee, Renee, Renee in Coach’s spot. She didn’t like me, for whatever reason.”
