Following the TKO merger that took place last month WWE released a number of notable superstars such as Dolph Ziggler, Mustafa Ali, Matt Riddle, Shelton Benjamin, Elias and Rick Boogs.
Following his WWE release Rick Boogs has been active on his YouTube channel where he recently confirmed that he can’t talk about his release until his non-compete clause with WWE is set to expire on December 21.
“I know people are like, ‘You’re not in WWE anymore, let’s talk about it.’ I can’t, guys. I’m technically still under contract for three months. My birthday is December 21 and as a birthday present, I’m free from my contract, basically. My birthday, December 21, that’s when I’m free from my contract. Until then, I’m still under contract.”
Rick Boogs has said in previous videos that he feels like his release was a political power play, and that someone in WWE had a “weird grudge” against him. Boogs also claimed that he’s 100% certain the removal of Vince McMahon killed his career.
