Goldberg has been a hot topic in the world of professional wrestling as of late because it was recently reported that the former Universal Champion’s contract with WWE has expired. Now that Goldberg is officially a free agent everyone is waiting to see what might happen next with his career.
Tony Khan of AEW has said that he’s paying attention to Goldberg’s status, and it appears that Matt Cardona is as well. Cardona recently called out Goldberg for a match when he posted the following on Twitter:
“THE INDY GOD IS NEXT!!! Be a man @Goldberg…Come on don’t be scared. You’re running from Broski that’s what I heard!!!”

Even though Goldberg is done with WWE for now it doesn’t seem that he’s done with in-ring competition as he recently declared that he wants to wrestle a retirement match when he said, “You never say never, especially in wrestling, and they owe me one. That’s all I can say. I made a deal with the devil and I did my job, and they owe me a retirement match. At the end of the day, at 56, it’s not something where I’m sitting by the phone waiting for a call. I’ve got a few ideas of how to do it on my own, possibly in Israel. So never say never.”
