This week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown took place from the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, MI and some of the biggest stars from the blue brand appeared on the show. A former WWE star was also reportedly backstage at the event.
PWInsider is reporting that former WWE Superstar Zach Gowen was backstage with his family at this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Gowen last competed for WWE back in 2004, but he still performs on the independent scene and does work as a motivational speaker.
During SmackDown this week Imperium and Hit Row both advanced in the tag contender tournament as did Drew McIntyre & Sheamus. The main event segment featured Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens signing a contract for their title match at the Royal Rumble, but Owens got the upper hand and ambushed The Bloodline before they could see the attack coming.
