Shawn Michaels has matured a lot over the years and he’s currently a key figure in WWE as he works behind the scenes helping to develop talent in NXT. However, it’s no big secret that Michaels had an attitude problem which led to some heated arguments.
Former WWE referee Mike Chioda worked with Shawn Michaels on a number of matches throughout his career, and he recently reflected on an incident that took place in Boston between Vince McMahon and Shawn Michaels during an episode of his Monday Mailbag.
According to Mike Chioda, Shawn Michaels made it clear that he didn’t want to drop the Intercontinental Championship when he told Vince, “I’m keeping my f***ing IC title.”
Vince McMahon didn’t back down as the former CEO responded with, “Vince I remember he was f***ing steaming and he paused for a few seconds and he goes, ‘Well okay, ‘cos I’ve got many more where that f***ing came from in my bottom drawer, I’ll just get a new one,'” Chioda said. “Shawn goes, ‘Well you’re not gonna have this one.’ They had their [fights], but Shawn’s got a lifetime contract with them now, it’s awesome.”
