Former WWE Referee Issues Statement On His Release

Last week WWE announced coronavirus related budget cuts, and the company proceeded to release wrestlers, producers, coaches and more.

Longtime WWE referee Mike Chioda was also let go, and the former referee recently took to Twitter to thank his fans and his WWE family when he posted the following:

“I Want To Say Thanks To the WWE & To All My AMAZING WWE FANS & Universe! 35yrs & 31yrs Refereeing Working for the WWE has been a FANTASTIC RUN!! I Am So PROUD to have Worked with So Many ICONS & AMAZING TALENT IN THIS INDUSTRY!! I THANK YOU ALL!! 1Luv! Mike Chioda
