You never know who might show up in New Japan Pro Wrestling nowadays. Chris Jericho shocked the world a few months ago when he challenged Kenny Omega to a match at Wrestle Kingdom, and Jericho is set to face Tetsuya Naito at NJPW’s upcoming Dominion event.
Rey Mysterio is also set to appear at Dominion, and now it looks like another former WWE Intercontinental Champion would be NJPW bound.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that John Hennigan, better known to WWE fans as John Morrison, has inquired about working with the company.
Previously the company had been interested in working with him, but they held off due to the fact that he was working for AAA, and NJPW didn’t want to use AAA talent because of their association with CMLL.
However, it appears that company officials may have changed their stance on that issue as Rey Mysterio is currently working with both NJPW and AAA.
