Former WWE Champion’s Contract Reportedly Expiring Soon

The WWE main roster is loaded with stars, but there’s one name that’s been noticeably absent from television in recent months. Fans haven’t seen much of AJ Styles since he was defeated by Cody Rhodes at Clash at the Castle, although he did work live event matches during WWE’s tour of Japan over the summer.

Fightful Select reports that AJ Styles is healthy, he’s just off television enjoying time with his family. The belief is that AJ’s current contract with WWE is set to expire later this year, or early next year.

As of right now there’s currently no word on if WWE has made an effort to re-sign AJ Styles, or what his plans are moving forward. It’s being said that numerous influential names in the professional wrestling industry believe that The Phenomenal One’s deal is up this year.

Are you hoping that AJ Styles will sign a new deal with WWE? Sound off in the comments below.
