WrestleMania weekend is finally here and the biggest stars in WWE will be looking to create WrestleMania moments on the Grandest Stage of Them All. Drew McIntyre has had his fair share of WrestleMania moments, and this year he’ll be facing off against Gunther and Sheamus in a triple threat match for the Intercontinental Championship.
PWInsider is reporting that Drew McIntyre is in the final year of his contract with WWE, and it’s being said that the two sides aren’t even close when it comes to agreeing to a new deal. It was noted that if Drew and WWE don’t come to terms on a new deal then WrestleMania 39 could potentially be his last WrestleMania.
After getting released from WWE in 2014, Drew McIntyre returned to WWE in 2017 and has since become one of the top stars in the company. Drew has feuded with some big names and he’s also managed to become a two time WWE Champion.
If for some reason Drew and WWE are not able to agree to a new deal then it’s safe to say that there are plenty of wrestling companies who would be interested in adding him to the roster. Stay tuned for more updates.
