WWE has been working to re-sign some of their biggest names, and today it was confirmed that Sheamus has signed a contract extension with the company. The news was officially confirmed today during an episode of The Pat McAfee Show.
“We are incredibly lucky to announce that Mr. Banger After Banger himself, Sheamus, the big fella, has officially signed an extension with the WWE,” McAfee announced.
Fightful Select is also reporting that Sheamus has re-signed with WWE. Originally his contract with WWE was set to expire this year, but it was extended due to time he missed because of injury. It’s also being reported that the former WWE Champion signed a multi-year deal.
Sheamus made his big return to WWE back in April after spending a number of months sitting on the sidelines due to a shoulder injury. The Celtic Warrior officially signed with WWE back in 2007 and he went on to debut on the ECW brand in 2009. A few months later he went on to defeat John Cena to win the WWE Championship at the TLC premium live event.
Throughout his run with WWE, Sheamus has been consistently featured on television and is a five time WWE World Champion. He’s also a three time United States Champion, five time tag champion, former Money in the Bank winner, former King of the Ring winner, and former Royal Rumble winner.
