The wrestling world unfortunately lost another legend today as it’s been confirmed that former WWE Champion Sid Eudy has passed away at the age of 63. Sid’s son Gunnar Eudy confirmed his father’s passing earlier today when he posted the following statement on social media:
“In Memory of My Father, Sid Eudy
Dear friends and family,
I am deeply saddened to share that my father, Sid Eudy, has passed away after battling cancer for several years. He was a man of strength, kindness, and love, and his presence will be greatly missed.
We appreciate your thoughts and prayers as we grieve this loss. Details for a memorial service will be shared soon. Thank you for your support.
Sincerely, Gunnar Eudy”
Sid was known to fans by many names such as Sycho Sid, Sid Vicious and Sid Justice to name a few. He got his start in professional wrestling back in the 80s and went on to win the WWE Championship twice. He is also a two time WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Sid last appeared on WWE programming during the Raw 1000 episode in 2012 when he took out Heath Slater.
Our condolences go out to Sid’s family, friends and fans. May he rest in peace.
