Former WWE Champion Returns On Monday Night Raw

It was a big weekend for WWE fans as Saturday Night’s Main Event aired live from Salt Lake City, UT. Several titles were on the line and Dominik Mysterio managed to retain his Intercontinental Championship after he defended the belt against Rusev and Penta in a triple threat match.

During Raw this week, Dominik cut a short promo and said that he’s the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time, the greatest AAA Mega Champion of all time, the King of the Luchadores and no one can stop him. That’s when Rey Mysterio’s music hit and the Hall of Famer made his return.

The fans in New Mexico greeted Rey Mysterio with “holy s***” chants. Rey told Dominik that he can call himself the greatest champion, but he has to draw the line at Dom calling himself the King of the Luchadores because it insults their family, and their blood. He asked Dom if he thinks he’s better than Eddie Guerrero, and Dom told Rey to keep his father’s name out of his mouth.

Dominik said he knows for a fact there’s one luchadore he’s better than, and it’s Rey Mysterio. He told his father that he’s already surpassed everything he’s done then demanded that he get out of the ring.

Rey fired back as he declared that Dom will never be King of the Luchadores as long as he’s around, this will never be his ring, and he will never be the greatest Mysterio.

Dominik tried to attack Rey, but Rey fought back. He got Dom on the ropes and connected with the 619. Rey Mysterio then celebrated as Dominik quickly retreated.
