The last few months have been very eventful for wrestling fans and back in November the United States Championship changed hands at Crown Jewel when Logan Paul defeated Rey Mysterio to win the title. Shortly after Rey Mysterio was written off TV when Santos Escobar turned on him.
Mysterio then underwent surgery for a knee injury and it was estimated that he could be out of action for six to eight weeks. Now it seems that Mysterio is getting closer to a return as he recently noted on Baker Banter that he hopes to return for the Royal Rumble.
“I’m really working hard on my physical therapy. I just had knee surgery, thanks to Santos Escobar, and his time will come eventually. I do hope that I can return for the Rumble, if not shortly after that. I am working very hard to make my return as soon as possible.”
Stay tuned for more updates on Rey Mysterio’s return as they become available.
