Former WWE World Champion Responds To Macaulay Culkin’s WrestleMania Challenge

You never know what will happen in WWE, especially when you’re talking about these crazy characters. Edge and Christian have a lot of jokes and they’ve made themselves famous for their outstanding comedic characters and antics. But it looks like Macaulay Culkin wants a piece of Christian’s alter-ego Paul Smackage and he’s not backing down.

Culkin recently laid down a WrestleMania challenge to Rusev after the Lion Of Bulgaria said he needs to find a celebrity to fight at WrestleMania. As it turns out, Rusev finally got himself booked in the United States title match but it took a lot of Rusev Day t-shirt sales to get him there.

But before Rusev defeated Randy Orton on SmackDown and transformed the planned triple threat match into a fatal four-way, Macaulay Culkin was chomping at the bit to mix it up with the Bulgarian Brute.

Little was mentioned from Rusev after Culkin said he would probably hit the former US Champion too hard. But that didn’t stop the Home Alone star from throwing down an even bolder challenge.

Culkin tweeted out: “I’m still looking for an opponent for this year’s WrestleMania, so I figured I’d challenge the one, the only, Paul Smackage. Hey Edge and Christian, let’s make this happen!”

Little did Richie Rich realize that Christian would reply in full force as he started out E&C’s Pod Of Awesomeness with a scathing promo as this week’s show kicked off. Christian delivered a nice variety of insults, inside references, and pro wrestling lingo to prove his point that Paul Smackage wasn’t anything to mess with.

“Oh don’t get Paul started, brother” Christian said in character, “oh Paul got caught up on Macaulay Culkin on the Twitter machine brother. And let me tell you something right now, brother straight from the lips and the mouth of Paul Smackage.”

“You know I’ve been working this territory for 15 years, count em 15 — I’ve never been disrespected like that in my entire career. You know I was sitting Home Alone in Grapevine, Texas enjoying a jack and cream soda when a little birdie told me that Macaulay Culkin was talking smack, jack. Oh, that just made old Paul’s blood boil, brother especially on my one day off a month.” Captain Charisma continued on like this in a promo-style rant for a bit and it was highly entertaining.

Therefore if you’re Macaulay Culkin, you might want to be careful what you wish for. Because even though Christian might be retired it sounds like Paul Smackage could be ready to take him up on the challenge.
