Over the last few years fans have seen a lot of stars on the WWE roster come and go, but it looks like at least one of WWE’s top stars will be sticking with the company for a while.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that AJ Styles recently signed a new deal with WWE. The contract is said to be a long term deal, but it’s not known if the deal is for 3 or 5 years.
It was also noted that AJ Styles had the chance to go elsewhere for good money, but he wasn’t interested. The belief is that AJ Styles will be a “lifer” with WWE.
AJ Styles sent shockwaves throughout the wrestling world when he debuted with WWE at the Royal Rumble in 2016, and he has since gone on to become a Grand Slam Champion and one of the top stars in the company.
The Phenomenal One had been teaming with Omos for some time, but their team recently fell apart and Omos defeated Styles in a singles match on Raw this week. Styles has also been making appearances in NXT and he’s currently set to face Grayson Waller on the January 11th episode. Stay tuned for updates.
