We’ve seen some interesting WWE departures this year as Becky Lynch finished up with the company a few months ago and Beth Phoenix recently confirmed that her contract with WWE has expired as well.
Now it seems that another big name is done with the company as Bobby Lashley has officially been moved to the alumni section on WWE’s website. Last month PWInsider reported that WWE had offered Bobby Lashley a new contract, but it wasn’t a deal that made him jump to sign. The expectation was that Lashley would be parting ways with WWE when his contract expired. Lashley last wrestled for WWE back in May.
MVP’s contract also recently expired and it’s been rumored that Lashley and MVP could be looking to reunite with former Hurt Business stablemate Shelton Benjamin. It’s worth noting that MVP showed up at a Bloodsport event a few weeks ago and challenged Josh Barnett to a match.
Barnett accepted the challenge and seemingly teased a Hurt Business reunion when he said, “This is the land where the hurt business cashes the most checks. You can come here on your own, or you can come here with a posse. Either way, this is the CEO of hurting people, so we’ll be glad to see you and anybody else you might know.”
