A number of WWE contracts have expired this year and it looks like another one could be expiring soon. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select is reporting that Bobby Lashley’s current WWE contract is set to expire within the next month or so. It’s being said that the contract could expire in a matter of weeks. PWN and Fightful Select have confirmed that Bobby Lashley was removed from WWE’s internal roster. However, he is still featured on WWE’s official website.
Bobby Lashley has been out of action for months now, but sources have confirmed that he plans to continue wrestling even if an extension is not reached with WWE. Lashley has not been factored into creative plans since spring, and has wrestled five matches so far this year.
There’s currently no word on whether or not Bobby Lashley could continue fighting in MMA, but those close to him say that it isn’t outside the realm of possibility.
Prior to being injured Bobby Lashley was aligned with The Street Profits on WWE programming. Originally Bobby Lashley was being advertised for the King of the Ring tournament back in May, but he was pulled due to injury.
Stay tuned for more updates on Bobby Lashley’s status as they become available.
