Some wrestlers manage to wrestle for several decades, while others hang up the boots when they feel the time is right. But it sounds like one former WWE Champion may be forced to call it a day on their career sooner than later.
Rajah.com is reporting that Sheamus could potentially be winding down his career in the near future.
Sheamus has spinal stenosis, which is the condition that ended the careers of stars such as Edge and Steve Austin. The Celtic Warrior also reportedly suffered a concussion during the six man tag team match on the 4/9 episode of SmackDown Live.
Due to The Bar breaking up, and WWE not disclosing the specific nature of his injury, there’s reportedly growing concern that Sheamus could be forced into retirement.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com also addressed Sheamus’ status in the Fightful Select Q&A feature and noted that a lot of people in WWE were surprised that Sheamus could still wrestle so effectively.
