The Royal Rumble is one of the most exciting shows of the year as fans never know who might return and enter one of the Royal Rumble matches. This year’s show featured some interesting moments, and one former WWE Champion offered up his services for the show.
Rob Van Dam recently spoke to Sportskeeda Wrestling about the Royal Rumble, and the Hall of Famer revealed that he contacted WWE to let them know he was available for the event.
“Could that happen? Absolutely. I let them know that I was available if they wanted me, needed me for the Royal Rumble and I was on standby with a brand new outfit feeling great in great condition and they didn’t call me in. Could happen any time but I don’t have any plans for it. I would consider any situation from any company, I would consider it. If it’s right, it’s right.”
RVD also made it clear that he’s not retired from in-ring competition, and he noted that he has a handful of upcoming matches that are currently booked.
“I’m not done with my career because right now, I have maybe four or five matches booked. These aren’t matches that will be televised by WWE or anyone else that I know of. Probably won’t be seen by all the fans worldwide.”
