It’s always unfortunate when a wrestler is sidelined due to injury, and former WWE Champion Big E has been out of action since March of 2022 when he suffered a broken neck during a match on SmackDown.
Since then there’s been a lot of speculation regarding Big E’s future with the company and whether or not he will be cleared at some point, but it doesn’t seem that many people in WWE are expecting him to return.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select is reporting that the belief is that Big E will not be medically cleared to return to the ring. It was noted that WWE did not add injury time to Big E’s contract as of this summer. Big E is still being paid a wrestler’s salary.
Big E recently appeared on Monday Night Raw during The New Day’s 10 year anniversary celebration. During the segment Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods turned on Big E after he offered to be their manager.
As of this writing Big E has not officially declared one way or another if his in-ring career is over. Stay tuned for more updates on Big E’s status as they become available.
