The 2023 WWE Draft has come and gone and WWE reshuffled the deck with the Raw and SmackDown rosters once again. There were several rounds throughout both nights of the draft and some familiar faces such as Shawn Michaels, Rob Van Dam, JBL, Teddy Long and others made the announcements.
It sounds like WWE also wanted another big name for the event as Kurt Angle recently revealed on The Kurt Angle Show that he was asked to be a part of the show. However, Kurt Angle had to decline the offer due to other obligations.
“I was asked to do it, and I couldn’t, unfortunately. I wish I could have. I would have loved to be there and announce a draft pick, but unfortunately, I was busy that day and couldn’t do it… They offered me. I had to turn it down, unfortunately.”
Kurt Angle last appeared on WWE programming during the special 30th anniversary episode of Monday Night Raw back in January. Angle does pop up on WWE TV from time to time, but it’s unclear right now when fans might see him again. Stay tuned for updates.
