On Thursday WWE released a total of 18 Superstars from NXT and the main roster, and some employees were also released from WWE HQ this week as well.
According to Fightful Select, Laura Todd, Laura Petrucelli, John Stamatis, and Mike Giaccio are no longer with WWE. The report also noted that the company will fill the open spots with promotions and new hires.
The office cuts were reportedly more about WWE restructuring the company and moving people into new positions as opposed to simply reducing the head count.
Mike Giaccio worked as WWE’s Senior Manager of Talent Sales & Global Partnerships and he previously won the WWE 24/7 Title from R-Truth during a WWE Employee Town Hall event. The title change segment was featured on WWE’s social media channels.
Laura Petrucelli was hired by WWE in November 2012 as the Executive Assistant to the Executive Vice President of Digital Media, and she eventually worked her way up to WWE’s Vice President of Brand in 2019.
Laura Todd worked as WWE’s Vice President of Partnership Marketing and John Stamatis worked as WWE’s Senior Vice President of Global Marketing & Sales Strategy. Stay tuned for updates.
