You never know when a new stable might form and fans saw the beginning of The Judgment Day at WrestleMania 38 when Damian Priest helped Edge pick up a win over AJ Styles. In the weeks that followed they recruited Rhea Ripley and officially came to be known as The Judgment Day.
The situation with The Judgment Day took a drastic turn shortly after when Finn Balor joined then the group decided to kick Edge out. Recently Damian Priest talked to Sports Illustrated about the reaction to Edge being pulled from The Judgment Day, and he admitted that he thought he was going to get released.
“We’d just had a major moment joining together forming The Judgment Day. It felt like no time had passed, and then it was Edge who told me that he was being taken out of the group. He waited to tell me after TV one night when we were on the road. I thought we were done. I was so upset. When Rhea found out, she was even more mad than me.”
“Edge was mad, too. I still speak with him–he was one of our biggest backers. When he told me, I remember him saying, ‘All of this, for nothing.’ And I repeated that–for nothing. That’s the way it felt at the time.
“I was waiting for the phone call to get released. Obviously, it worked out a lot differently.”
Obviously things turned out alright for Damian Priest and The Judgment Day. The group has been featured as one of the top acts on WWE programming for quite some time now even though it’s been going through more changes as of late with other Judgment Day members turned on Damian and Rhea Ripley.
One way or another Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley will have their chance to get revenge as it’s been announced that they will be teaming up to face Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan at Bash In Berlin.
