Between All Elite Wrestling and Ring of Honor there’s an abundance of talent that are currently working with Tony Khan, but it looks like at least one name could be on his way out.
Fightful Select reports that former ROH World Champion Jonathan Gresham asked for his release ahead of the ROH Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view on Saturday. It’s being said that Gresham felt disrespected because there was a lack of communication between him and the company leading into the weekend, and the lack of time for his ROH World Title match with Claudio Castagnoli was also a tipping point.
Gresham met with Tony Khan before the pay-per-view and he was “cussing out” Tony while venting his frustration. This was confirmed by several talent following the show. Fightful reached out to Tony Khan and Jonathan Gresham and from Gresham’s side it’s being said that he is “done with wrestling for the foreseeable future after this month.”
It’s also being said that Gresham came out without his usual entrance gear because he wanted to see everything clearly for what could possibly be his last match. It has not been confirmed that his release request was granted, but it’s being reported that he left right after his match.
