Goldberg is without a doubt one of the biggest stars that the wrestling industry has ever created, but people within the wrestling community seem to have differing opinions on the WWE Hall of Famer.
The former Universal Champion’s on screen persona is quite serious, and it sounds like what fans see on screen is similar to how Goldberg is backstage.
Former WCW star Disco Inferno recently spoke to Sportskeeda, and he noted that Goldberg “was not the nicest guy to be around” on days that WCW had shows.
Goldberg was not the nicest guy to be around on the show day. There was a collection of guys that did not like to have fun. Goldberg was very serious backstage, you know.
Goldberg last competed at WrestleMania 36 where he dropped the Universal Championship to Braun Strowman. He also confirmed earlier this year that he’s signed with WWE through 2023, and that he’s contractually obligated to wrestle two matches per year.
It’s not clear at this point in time when he’ll be returning. Stay tuned for updates.
