Former TNA World Champion Bobby Roode has been spotted by fans at the WWE hotel in Dallas. It’s worth noting that Roode isn’t booked for any shows or appearances on the Dallas area.
After 12 years with TNA, Roode asked for his release from the company last month and it was granted. Eric Young coincidentally left TNA the same day that Roode did. It’s been rumored that WWE is interested in both guys. When asked about his TNA departure Bobby Roode told The Peterborough Examiner that he just felt like it was the right time to move on.
“It felt like it was the right time. After almost 13 years in a wrestling company I felt like there was nothing really left for me to do there. I wanted to mutually part ways. I have nothing negative to say about TNA Wrestling. They treated me very, very well. It was just a matter of me being in a part of my life where I’m not sure TNA was the right fit for me anymore. The brand has been stale for the last little while and the growth wasn’t there as it was in the early years.”
It will be interesting to see if Bobby Roode pops up anywhere else before the weekend is through.
