NXT has become one of the hottest brands in all of wrestling, and you just never know who’s going to show up when you attend a NXT event. Some of the most talented names in the industry have signed with the promotion, and former TNA stars Samoa Joe, Bobby Roode, Eric Young and more have all found success with the brand. Now it looks like another former TNA star could be showing up in NXT, as former TNA Tag Team Champion Gunner is teasing his arrival via Twitter.
It was reported back in April that Gunner was set to take the WWE physical, and he would likely be signing with the company if he passed. His recent tweet seems to be an indication that he passed.
The former Impact Wrestling star was recently asked about possibly signing with WWE, and he said that’s his ultimate goal.
“Man, that’s a dream of mine. That 5-years old growing up still wants that WrestleMania moment. It’s such an awesome company. I’d much rather have an opportunity with NXT or WWE. That’s my ultimate goal. Even when I was with TNA guys would ask me and I’d say “The goal is WWE. It’s WrestleMania”… I’m only 34, age is not that big of a deal for me anymore.”
It looks like NXT will have a surplus of former TNA stars soon as Crazzy Steve is also reportedly WWE bound.
