Lucha Underground has signed Sami Callihan to a deal according to Ryan Satin of ProWrestlingSheet.com. Callihan previously worked in NXT as Solomon Crowe. He debuted with NXT in 2013 and worked with the company until November of 2015 when he was released. Sami requested his release so that he could return to the independent scene to reinvent himself and the release was granted.
Sami Callihan wrestled a dark match for Lucha Underground at a television taping back in January, and that’s when the negotiations began. He’s expected to start working at the Temple this weekend and he will make his television debut with the company when season 3 premieres.
