Former NXT Star Returns To WWE Performance Center

There have been quite a few WWE Superstars who have been released from the company over the last few years, but in recent months several names have returned, and there’s no telling who else might be brought back.

PWInsider reports that Oney Lorcan is back at the WWE Performance Center this week. According to the report the former NXT star is working as a guest coach, but there’s speculation that the company could be looking to bring him in full time.

Oney Lorcan, real name Christopher Girard, first signed a developmental deal with WWE in 2015. In 2016 he made his television debut with the NXT brand and in 2018 he formed a tag team with Danny Burch.

In October of 2020, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch won the NXT Tag Team Championship, but the belts were vacated in March of 2021 due to Burch being sidelined by an injury. Lorcan requested his release from WWE and his request was eventually granted in November of 2021. Stay tuned for more updates on his status as they become available.
