It’s WrestleMania weekend and the wrestling world is buzzing because of all the big events that are taking place. NXT TakeOver: Orlando will air on the WWE Network on Saturday night and WrestleMania 33 will air on Sunday night, but the excitement won’t end once the weekend is over.
Every wrestling fan is well aware that the Raw after WrestleMania is one show that is always exciting because you never know who might show up. The Raw after WrestleMania is known for big debuts and it’s likely that this year’s show will be no exception.
However, Raw isn’t the only big show after WrestleMania this year. The WWE programming schedule is a little different now that SmackDown Live airs on Tuesday, and it’s rumored that we could see a former NXT Champion join the blue brand.
Sportskeeda is reporting that the one and only Shinsuke Nakamura is set to get called up to the main roster next week, and current plans call for him to join the SmackDown Live roster on Tuesday night.
Before Shinsuke Nakamura arrives on the main roster, he’ll have to get through Bobby Roode. Nakamura is set to challenge Bobby Roode for the NXT Championship at NXT TakeOver: Orlando on Saturday night.
If the report about his imminent call up is indeed accurate, one would have to assume that he likely won’t win the title on Saturday night, but then again, Kevin Owens did work double duty while he was NXT Champion, so anything is possible.
