Over the last few months a number of NXT stars have been called up to the main roster. Names such as Jordynne Grace, Oba Femi, Trick Williams and Je’Von Evans have all moved on from NXT and now it seems that another familiar name could be getting called up sooner than later.
Bodyslam is reporting that sources have indicated there’s been a lot of talk regarding a potential main roster call-up for Ethan Page. Another source indicated that Page is expected to move back into the main event title scene in NXT before he officially heads to the WWE main roster.
During last week’s episode of NXT, Ethan Page defended the NXT North American Championship against Myles Borne, and Borne defeated Page to end his 273 day title reign. Borne defended the title against Ethan Page in an impromptu match on this week’s episode of NXT and it was Myles Borne who once again picked up the victory.
At this point in time there’s currently no word on which brand Ethan Page is being considered for, but he had been paired with Chelsea Green in recent months, so it will be interesting to see if they end up working together on SmackDown.
