On the most recent JBL and Cole show, the two confirmed that former NFL linebacker Shawne Merriman has signed a deal with WWE. He is currently in training at the Performance Center in Orlando Florida.
Merriman was a special guest on one of the Wrestlemania Today panels, sitting in with Josh Mathews, Shawn Michaels and Booker T.
He also made an appearance at the 2008 One Night Stand PPV, striking Chavo Guerrero with a Singapore Cane.
