Could Former Impact Wrestling Stars Appear In The Royal Rumble Match?

When it comes to WWE, all eyes are looking ahead to two major events at the moment, and those events are the Raw 25th anniversary show, and the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

Raw 25 is going to be a fun blast from the past, and the Royal Rumble pay-per-view will break new ground as it’s set to feature the first ever women’s Royal Rumble.

We all know that with Royal Rumble matches come big surprises, and there’s already been a lot of speculation regarding who could be showing up in the women’s Royal Rumble match.

There hasn’t been as much chatter in regards to surprise entrants in the men’s Royal Rumble, but you never know who could show up.

A few former WWE stars finished up with Impact Wrestling this week, as Bobby Lashley and EC3 are both done with the company.

So, could they show up in the Royal Rumble?

According to PWInsider, EC3 is said to be “free and clear” in regards to his status. There’s said to interest in EC3 on WWE’s end, so even though it seems unlikely at this point that he will appear in the Royal Rumble, he technically could.

As for Bobby Lashley, fans shouldn’t expect to see him in this year’s Royal Rumble match. Even though Bobby finished up with Impact Wrestling recently, it’s being reported that he won’t be free to sign with another company until February 1st, and the Royal Rumble is set to take place on January 28th.

Who are you hoping to see appear in the Royal Rumble match? Sound off in the comments below.
